NPS School Choice
PreK through middle school students can take advantage of magnet programs focused on language, character, college and career readiness, and visual and performing arts. NPS also prides itself on neighborhood schools, which build community and offer their own unique programs and educational opportunities. NPS high school programs offer a wide variety of opportunities from hands-on industry experience to earning a college degree and health certifications, and engaging with counterparts globally.

Brookside Elementary School & Montessori Primary Program
The Brookside community challenges and inspires all students to demonstrate high levels of achievement, responsible citizenship and a lifelong love of learning. Brookside also offers a Montessori Primary program. Based on self-directed activity, the Montessori style of education focuses on hands-on learning and collaborative play.
CMS
Concord K-8 Magnet School (CMS) has a new home! The recently built state-of-the-art building offers brightly lit classrooms and peaceful outdoor space. Located next door to Ponus Ridge STEAM Academy, CMS students will continue the programming that has put them on the map for the past 40 years.
Cranbury Elementary School
Nestled in a neighborhood just minutes away from historical Cranbury Park, Cranbury Elementary School welcomes learners into a richly diverse learning community. Cranbury students will learn in a newly built, state-of-the art building, which is planned to open for the September 2023 school year.
Fox Run Elementary School
Fox Run Elementary School is a diverse community that provides students with opportunities and experiences that are equitable and inclusive and promote academic success and social- emotional well being. As students travel on their PATH to success, they will become Problem Solvers who are Accountable, Thoughtful, Helpful members of our school community.
Jefferson Marine Science Elementary School
Recognized by the State as a School of Distinction in 2019, Jefferson provides the opportunity for young scholars to explore STEM via hands on experiences and opportunities. Jefferson students attend school in a newly renovated and expanded facility complete with a new gymnasium, additional classrooms, playground, kitchen and exterior design which will allow for easier drop-offs.
Kendall College & Career Academy
Kendall combines innovative aspects of curriculum and instruction offering project-based learning, as well as enriched learning experiences through the Schoolwide Enrichment Model. The goal of these strategies is to prepare students for future learning and ultimately college and career.
Marvin Elementary School
Marvin students are encouraged to strive for academic and social emotional excellence. During the school day, students engage in activities that focus on mental wellness such as identifying and naming feelings, and finding ways to manage these emotions.
Naramake Elementary School
Naramake Elementary School students and staff strive for excellence each day by Persevering through challenges, acting with Integrity at all times, and developing strong inter-personal relationships through Respect, Dignity and Empathy for others.
Rowayton Elementary School
Rowayton students engage in a weekly rotation of enrichment courses that align with curriculum to support both academic and social emotional growth. Exploration through STEAM activities, Project Based Learning, and activities employing multiple intelligences promote critical thinking and collaboration while utilizing the latest media and technology.
Silvermine Dual Language Magnet School
A full immersion dual language school, teachers plan and coordinate instructional programs in a team teaching environment at each grade level: one instructs in English, and the other in Spanish.
Tracey Magnet School
The only school in the state to earn the title of National School of Character in 2019 by Character.org, Tracey students leave their “PRINT” on all that they achieve: Problem solving, Respect, Integrity, Being Neighborly and Taking Responsibility.
Wolfpit Integrated Arts School
An arts-centered focus provides students with the opportunity to have an integrated arts education, while engaging in rigorous learning practices. This theme offers those students with an interest in visual and performing arts the skills they need to continue on the arts trajectory in middle school and beyond.

A community of students, teachers, administrators and families, NHS embraces its diversity and encourages intellectual curiosity. Each day, students are challenged to become knowledgeable, ethical citizens capable of making independent and collaborative decisions in real-world settings.

Marine Science Academy at McMahon
Students learn to apply techniques and technology in this diverse field. Hands-on field experiences are available through local apprenticeships.
Digital Media & Communications Academy at Norwalk High
Working with industry partners, DMCA provides a hands-on approach, enabling students to master industry standard computer programs. Students also have the opportunity to earn college credits through Quinnipiac University for specific courses.
McMahon Healthcare Academy
Through Norwalk Community College and Norwalk Hospital, students earn certifications as emergency medical technicians, phlebotomy assistants and patient care technicians.
International Baccalaureate Program & Diploma at McMahon
This comprehensive and rigorous two-year, preuniversity course of study is highly regarded by colleges and universities. Those graduating with IB diplomas have a 22 percent higher college acceptance rate.
Center for Global Studies
An inter-district magnet school located at BHMS, students study Chinese, Japanese and Middle Eastern languages and culture, with a focus on global mindedness. Students participate in two-week study tours to destinations across the globe.
P-TECH Norwalk
P-TECH Norwalk is Connecticut’s first 9-14 early college high school. Through a partnership with IBM and Norwalk Community College (NCC), scholars earn a high school diploma, have the potential to graduate with an industry- recognized applied associate degree in Software Engineering, Web Development, or Mobile Programming within a six year time frame, and gain relevant workplace exposure.
