Summer Reading 2019

Summer Reading 2019

Norwalk students and their families are encouraged to participate in the 2019 Norwalk Summer Reading Challenge, in partnership with the Norwalk Public Library. This year's theme is "The Summer Game - A Universe of Stories." Through this program, Norwalk Public Schools will be able to compete with other Connecticut schools in CONNECTICUT READS, the 2019 Governor's Summer Reading Challenge. Participation will reinforce the importance of reading during the summer to reduce summer learning loss and be better prepared for the new school year.

We encourage students to read many books this summer! Research shows that summer reading can help maintain a child's reading level and even improve their reading skills.

Students will receive badges, raffle tickets, and prizes from our public library for their participation.
