New Principals Named for Brookside, Jefferson and Naramake

This is the image for the news article titled New Principals Named for Brookside, Jefferson and Naramake Three experienced educators have been named to fill principal vacancies at Norwalk's Brookside Elementary School, Jefferson Science Magnet School, and Naramake Elementary School.   

Sandra Faioes has been appointed principal of Brookside Elementary School. Currently the curriculum and instruction site director for Brookside, Ms. Faioes takes over the leadership of the school following the retirement of long-time principal David Hay.  Click here for additional background on Sandra Faioes.

Nicholas Brophy has been named principal of Jefferson Science Magnet School. Mr. Brophy joins Norwalk from Wallingford, where he has been principal of E.C. Stevens Elementary School since 2011. He will transition into the role with the assistance of Craig Creller, who has been serving as interim principal at Jefferson, and who will return full time to his position as the District's instructional specialist for math. Click here for additional background on Nicholas Brophy.    

Jane Wilkins becomes principal of Naramake Elementary School, following the relocation of principal Patricia Mattera to the West Coast. A long-time Norwalk educator, Ms. Wilkins is currently the curriculum and instruction site director at Marvin Elementary School. Click here for additional background on Jane Wilkins.

The appointment of a principal for Kendall Elementary School is pending, and will be announced as soon as the selection process is complete.
