On Tuesday, November 3, schools will be closed as teachers and administrators participate in our districtwide Professional Development day.
A comprehensive schedule of workshops has been developed that are customized for individual schools and practitioners.

According to Dr. Michael Conner, Chief Academic Officer, the day is designed to enhance individual practice, while ensuring that teachers leave with strategies that impact classroom instruction and student achievement. In his message to Norwalk educators, Dr. Conner explains:

"The definition of 'Professional Learning' can be contextualized as continuous improvement that is focused, which yields high results over time. As we embrace new ideas around pedagogy, our districtwide professional development exercise will focus on personalizing learning for you and your school. The structure of our district-wide professional learning exercise invites collaborative learning experiences, deep reflection on current practices, and new methods to apply in your individual classrooms.
