The $100,000 scholarship was presented to Kimberly as being judged the most outstanding senior in the Norwalk High School Class of 2015 in recognition of her outstanding dedication and achievements across the spectrum of academics, athletics, arts, and community and religious service, all areas in which Kevin participated and excelled.

Twenty-six applicants submitted a preliminary application in October. In November, eight applicants from this pool were invited to submit a final application in February, requiring letters of recommendation in support of their academic, athletic, arts, and community and religious service accomplishments. From this pool, four finalists were invited to an interview with the Scholarship Selection Committee. The recipient was selected based on the way their application, recommendations, and interview most reminded the Selection Committee of Kevin.

Academically, Kimberly was ranked 14th in her class, with a 4.0795 cumulative grade point average as of the end of her junior year. This year Kimberly’s academic course load includes advance placement courses in AP literature and Composition and European History also taking Honor courses in Physics and Latin IV.
