Kristin Goldstein has been appointed by the Board of Education as principal for Cranbury Elementary School.

A Norwalk resident and parent, Ms. Goldstein has over 18 years of experience in education, in both leadership and teaching roles.  Most recently, she has served as Assistant Principal at Ox Ridge School in Darien (July 2012 – present), and was Assistant Principal at Cos Cob School in Greenwich from 2010 to 2012.

From 2000 to 2009, she served as a teacher for Grades K-3 at Parkway Elementary School in Greenwich, where she also served as Learning Facilitator from 2002-2009. From 1994 to 2000, she was employed as a teacher for Grades K & 5 at the Hallandale Elementary School, in Hallandale, Florida.

In addition to her Assistant Principal roles, Ms. Goldstein’s leadership roles included serving on the Teacher Evaluation Committee (2012-present); Safe School Climate Committee (2013-present); Administrator Evaluation Committee (2011- 2012); District Data Team – Instructional Sub Committee (2011- 2012); and Professional Learning Steering Committee (2009-present).

She has also served as Instructional and School Data Teams Trainer (2009-2012), Teacher Evaluation and Professional Learning Trainer (2009-present), and Student Assistance Team Trainer (2008-present).

Ms. Goldstein received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from State University of New York, her Masters of Science in Elementary Education, College of Saint Rose and her 6th year in Educational Leadership, Supervision and Evaluation from Sacred Heart University.

Her official start date in Norwalk will be determined shortly. In the meantime, please join all of us at Norwalk Public Schools in thanking Dr. Elisa Nelson for her service as interim Principal, and in welcoming Kristin Goldstein to Cranbury Elementary.
